IDBK TVET Innovational Competition: Empowering Skills, Creativity, and Future Innovators
Innovation is the driving force behind sustainable development, and today’s youth hold the key to solving tomorrow’s challenges. To support this vision, IDBK has launched the TVET Innovational Competition, a unique platform designed to showcase creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities among TVET learners.
This competition brings together students from various Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions to present innovative ideas, products, and solutions that address real-world issues in their communities. From technology and engineering to agriculture and creative arts, the initiative encourages participants to think beyond the classroom and apply their skills in practical and impactful ways.
Why the IDBK TVET Innovational Competition Matters
1.
Encouraging Practical Innovation
The competition gives young
innovators the opportunity to turn their knowledge into tangible solutions. It
bridges the gap between skills and industry needs, empowering students to
create products that can be commercialized or scaled.
2.
Promoting Youth Empowerment
By giving a platform to talented
TVET students, IDBK is investing in the next generation of entrepreneurs,
technicians, and innovators. Participants gain confidence, visibility, and the
motivation to continue pursuing their ideas.
3.
Strengthening the TVET Ecosystem
The competition promotes
collaboration between schools, industry partners, and community stakeholders.
This helps strengthen Rwanda’s ecosystem of practical education and innovation.
4.
Unlocking Opportunities
Winners and outstanding participants may gain opportunities such as mentorship, internships, startup support, or funding for further development of their projects.
Participants are encouraged to focus
on concepts that are impactful, environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and
technically feasible.
